Mrs. Hallie Ricks Rites Held at First Baptist Church
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday for Mrs. Hallie Ricks 79 of Gladewater born February 28 1894 in Titus County and died Sunday in Municipal Hospital after a brief illness. She leaves four sons two daughters two brothers 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Burial followed at Gladewater Memorial Park with pallbearers being grandsons.

Funeral services for William E. Bonner held in Gladewater
William E. Bonner 74 of 1402 Gay Avenue died Saturday in Longview after a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Malcolm Stone Funeral Home chapel with burial at Gladewater Memorial Park. Survivors include his widow Ruby Bonner, son Gerald Bonner, brothers Virgil Clyde and Arthur Bonner, sister Clara Bond, and two granddaughters Deborah and Dee Dee Bonner. SWEPCO Reports Progress in IBEW Strike Talks
John E. Edgar SWEPCO public information director says some progress has been made in strike negotiations with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. About 620 IBEW members walked out nearly three weeks ago, the first strike in SWEPCO's history. Negotiations resumed last Friday after a three week break, with plant watch engineers' status among the disputed points.
