Gladewater hosts its third annual outdoor arts festival at Broadway School grounds near Highway 80 East with booths from 20 cities in three states. Janice Walker chairs the event sponsored by the women’s division of the Chamber of Commerce, featuring bake sale by the Gladewater Camp Fire Girls and food concessions by Future Teachers of America. The lineup includes potter Gale Gill, sketch artist Carol Hale, pencil portraits by Jane Pierce, photography, stained glass, china painting, ceramics, dried flowers, leathercraft, rocks and more.
