Aldridge Indicted for Failure to Stop After Highway Incident
Upshur County Grand Jury, after two days of testimony, returned indictments including Jimmy Don Aldridge of Route 2 under $5,000 bond for failure to stop and render aid after a Aug. 27 highway incident injuring Vera Mae Barksdale of Union Grove who died. The panel also indicted Floyd Edward Stanley of Overton for kidnapping a young Diana girl on Sept. 2 under $25,000 bond and charged Larry Salter and Dewayne Roe in a theft case involving a 10-horsepower Johnson boat motor taken from David Russell on Aug. 11.
