Yancey Gann Dies. Rites Set in White Oak
Yancey B. Gann 41 died Monday at Good Shepherd Hospital after a sudden illness. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Malcolm Stone Funeral Chapel with burial in Strong Cemetery Henderson. He was born July 10, 1932 in Hamilton Alabama, a Korean War veteran and Dow Chemical employee. Survived by widow Carolyn and six children all of White Oak, two brothers Ira and Roland, five sisters and his mother.

Funeral services for Walter Houston were held Saturday in the Union Temple C.M.E. Church in Gladewater with the Rev. Jimmie Jackson officiating. He died at Parkland Hospital Friday. Survived by son Walter Houston Jr and multiple siblings. Burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Smith County.
