First State Bank Christmas Club Disbursements
First State Bank will issue checks to 469 Christmas Club members starting Monday November 15 at the main bank. Carson Kennedy, VP, said the club will disburse more than 121 million dollars for Christmas 1976, including over 300 thousand in interest. Kennedy urged joining the new Christmas Club for Christmas 1977.

Natural causes ruled in local man's death
The body of Jack Marables, 51, was found at 7 25 a m Saturday in front of his home at 312 Miller Street. Police and Justice of the Peace ruled death by natural causes with possible seizure or freezing prior to death. Funeral services are pending with a Longview dealership. Marables had served eight and a half years with the Gladewater School System including roles as coach, counselor, and principal.
