Union Grove Follies Friday Night at School Auditorium
The Union Grove Follies of 69 marks the 22nd annual show to be held Friday May 9 at 8 p.m. in the Union Grove School Auditorium. The event, themed Moon Rocket Revue, features faculty, students, guest stars and a rocket moon image. Buzz Messner will headline with Roxachord organ and Carolyn Langston will sing. The program includes majorettes, the Dixie Dolls, the Brass Rex, and the Speed family string band with Molly Smith and Jane Maddox as featured vocalists.

R H Calloway, caretaker at Camp Natowa for five years, was named Chief of the Whispering Pines during a Friday night Council Fire at Camp Natowa. His granddaughter Charline Walker, a Camp Fire leader, bestowed the title and presented a gift, with great-granddaughters Cinday and Lana Walker and other girls and parents watching. A veteran Texas plumber and poet, 82, R B O'Brien runs Ace Plumbing in a small home in Kilgore Gladewater area.
