Mrs Lindsey 66 Dies in Gladewater Friday
Mary Nettie Lindsey aged 66 of Gladewater died at 7 15 a m Friday after a long illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at 1 p m at Malcolm Stone Funeral Chapel with Reverends Don Perkins and Clifton Jones officiating. Burial followed in Sand Hill Cemetery Simms. She was born January 17 1905 in New Boston and was a Baptist member. Surviving are one daughter Dorothy Busby five sisters twelve grandchildren. Pallbearers named were D L Morgan O C Herring Dalton Ray J W Williams Chuck Reed Harold Bowlin.

Day Care Center Opens Here Monday
Gladewater starts its first Day Care Center for working mothers this Monday at 7 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church, 415 Marshall. The project is led by the church with support from Northeast Texas Presbytery and Sabine Valley Parish agencies, and will operate as a non profit licensed center for 30 children.
