Gladewater School Board Completes Busy Session Monday
Gladewater school board finished a lengthy meeting Monday night approving rehires and a board of equalization date. The board heard an athletic program report by Athletic Director Bill Waters and accepted the resignation of special education teacher Mrs. Michelle Scott. Superintendent Roy Johnson announced retirement for Mrs. Donna Lea Miller and Mrs. Lois Moore, with resolutions planned to honor their service.

Melvin C. Cuthbertson 39 died Monday after a long illness at the Veterans Hospital in Shreveport Louisiana. He was a Gladewater firefighter and US Army veteran born September 17 1931 in Dallas.
