Airlines to offer joint fares for multi airline trips by June 11 1972
The Civil Aeronautics Board will require single joint fares for passengers flying two or more airlines to reach a destination, saving at least four dollars per interline connection. The rule, effective June 11, applies to children but excludes youth and certain stay over arrangements. Formerly travelers paid each airline separately unless carriers set joint fares voluntarily.
