A record 204 contestants enter the 32nd annual Round-Up Rodeo as it opens with the parade at 4 p.m. downtown Gladewater and the rodeo's opening 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Frances Johnson of Bellingham Washington shared a brief handwriting analysis with Ladies of the Presbyterian Women of Christ meeting at the Dillard home. The graphologist noted traits from samples and emphasized relevance to education and mental health study. Gladewater physician Dr. A R Hancock marks a half century in medicine since 1919 when he began practice after training. Born in 1891 in Metcalf Georgia he later worked through Florida and Oklahoma before settling in Gladewater in 1931. He ran the Gladewater hospital clinic from 1944 to 1966 and has been active in civic affairs for 38 years in the community.
