Reward Offered In Search For Missing Area Girl
A $10,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the disappearance of 13 year old Colette Anise Wilson of Alvin. She was last seen June 17 at 12 30 p m near state highway 6 and County Road 99 west of Alvin while carrying a clarinet case and sheet music. The girl is described as five feet two inches tall, 100 pounds with blue eyes and long black hair in a ponytail. She wore a Mickey Mouse tee shirt purple shorts and brown chukka boots and carried a bead accented leather purse. Her mother reported an older model black vehicle leaving the intersection with a white male driver and a dark headed female passenger. Foul play is suspected and anyone with information should contact the Brazoria County Sheriff s Department. The Alvin Chamber of Commerce is distributing missing persons bulletins and Dr. Wilson, the girl s father, is active in the chamber.

Huel Mackey longtime school employee dies at 83
Huel W. Mackey 83, retired Gladewater County Line Independent School System employee, died at 2:35 a.m. Monday in a local hospital after being ill since Saturday. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Friendship Baptist Church with Carl Tyson and Rev. Clifton Jones officiating. Burial followed in Friendship Cemetery. A West Mountain native born August 1, 1887, he was WWI veteran and Church of Christ member. Survivors include wife Bertha, two sons Elwyn of Orange and Roy Dean of Kemah, two sisters Fannie White and Iris Sobey, brother A. B. Mackey, 12 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

E. B. Germany a East Texas farm boy turned industrialist, oil producer and civic leader dies in Dallas at 78. He worked Grand Saline salt plant, ran a Bastrop wildcat well, led E. B. Germany and Sons from Mississippi to Colorado, and served Highland Park as mayor 1934 to 1942. He supported Methodist Hospital, Scottish Rite Hospital, YMCA, Southwestern University, and conservative Democratic politics.

Featherston Rites Held for E J Featherston
Funeral services for Eugene Jiggs Featherston 68 were held Monday at 2 p.m. in Loyd Chapel Gilmer with Rev Charles Turner and Rev Verlan Feller officiating.
