Policyowners Should Review Hospital Surgical Benefits
Hospital and surgical policies issued before 1969 are often outdated as costs rise. Hospital charges average about 75 dollars a day, with projections toward 100 dollars, while doctor fees have increased about 25 percent. Many policies do not reflect these increases and should be updated to avoid financial hardship. The text notes inflation, wage growth for hospital staff, and broader improvements in medical care driving higher costs and premiums. It also mentions a public meeting for single parents in Longview to discuss adjustments after separation.
