Funeral 2 30 Tuesday Malcolm Stone Funeral Chapel with Rev Conrad Winborn officiating. Burial Memorial Park. Survived by husband four sisters and parents Mr Mrs Sam Bean. She moved to Gladewater in the 1930s and was active in First United Methodist Church Garden Club Daleth Study Club and several bridge clubs. City gains land for airport expansion near Gladewater
The City of Gladewater received a deed from the Shepperd estate for 2.9 acres adjacent to the city airport. The land will allow runway expansion to 4000 feet under pending plans. Agreement was reached Wednesday morning between John Ben Shepperd, his son Alfred, and city officials led by the City Attorney Ernest Martin.
