Brookshire's Food Store Reopens After Remodeling
Brookshire's at 607 W Upshur reopened after a two week remodel. The enlarged 13,500 square foot store features two new check stands a modern meat market a full refrigerated produce department and a five deck dairy case. Ten new employees were hired and plants were added to the stock making it a more complete shopping center in the Tyler chain of 51 Brookshire's stores.

Grounds overhaul at Union Grove boosts athletic facilities
Athletic Booster Club volunteers reshaped and cleared land behind Union Grove school to create a multi use practice field. Work included road straightening a new gate, moving agriculture equipment, leveling the field and left area, and clearing trees to improve access and aesthetics. Future plans include concrete pens, backstop bleachers and a generator for irrigation.
