Students in 6th 7th and 8th grades may pick up schedules Thursday and Friday at Middle School. New students should register Thursday and Friday. All students report to the auditorium at 8 20 Monday morning Aug 20. First State Bank and the Gladewater Mirror sell Gladewater Centennial books for 3.75 dollars with tax, 4.75 dollars mailed, plus remaining coin sets at 15 dollars per set and bronze coins at 3 dollars. The program includes livestock movement patrols urging owners to brand and register cattle to prevent theft.

Total cost is 286206.83 dollars with 206817.48 dollars paid to Part Utilities of Bryan Texas. 186135.73 dollars already paid to contractor. remaining work 100071.10 dollars. Materials on hand amount to 30285.37 dollars.
Gladewater city officials were notified that the Texas Railroad Commission hearing on closing the depot in Gladewater, set for Thursday in Austin, was canceled after parties resolved their differences. City Attorney Ernest Martin confirmed through Walter Wendlett that no hearing is needed.
