Baptists Dedicate Pastor's Study In Gladewater Church
Dedication services were held Sunday morning for a newly completed pastor's study in the First Baptist Church Education Building. The study and furnishings were donated by Mrs. Herbert Hunter of 520 Melba St as a memorial to her late husband, oil operator and community leader Mr. Herbert Hunter. He served as deacon, Sunday school superintendent, Building Committee member, U.S.O. chair, and Price Administration head, and was active in the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club. He died at 70 after a varied career in banking, teaching, oil, and public service. The service was led by Rev. Irby Bates.
