Country Club To Expand Activities For Members
The Country Club plans to enlarge its offerings with a post Easter ladies golf tournament and a ladies bridge event featuring prizes while men resume play for the Baiden Cup. President F. D. Rosa has won the cup twice and will work with the handicap committee. Tuesday play continues for the cup and a club prom promises amusement for all members. Hostesses Mesdames J. W. Doar and W. N. Jacobs hosted last Tuesday afternoon with Miss Virginia Doar assisting. Guests included Mesdames A. M. Du Bose, H. B. LaBruce, H. W. Frazier, F. Sawyer, J. R. Siau, F. M. Brickman, B. G. McIntire, J. G. Walker, C. G. Barr, C. S. Condon, Joseph Schenck, Herman Berkman and Miss Esther Smith. Afterward golfers enjoyed refreshments with Rosa, Fra zier, Brickman, Pow, Wendt, and Lieut. Adamson.
