Funeral for George Betzer in Chardon on Friday
Funeral services for George Betzer will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at Burr Funeral Home in Chardon. Betzer, born May 5, 1892 in Chardon, died Sept 2, 1952 at Mt. Sinai Hospital Cleveland after five weeks illness. He lived in Chardon all his life and owned a meat business. Survived by wife Irene, children Genevive Barnum and Wilton Ashcraft, two grandchildren, four sisters and a brother. Memorial contributions to the George H Betzer Memorial Fund care of Geauga County Women’s Hospital Association.

Mrs. Jessie Bremner widow of E. J. Bremner died Saturday at the Soldier's and Sailor's home in Madison where she had lived the past year. She and her husband moved from Cleveland to Montville over 20 years ago and ran the local telephone exchange for 18 years. Survived by son Harold of Cleveland, eight great grandchildren, three granddaughters Arline White Emily Cunningham, brother John Gray of Burton. Funeral services were held in Cleveland with burial at Knollwood Cemetery.

Beth Temple Dies in Sleep after Heart Condition
Beth Temple wife of Josiah Temple died in her sleep early Thursday from a heart condition. She is survived by her husband and daughter Judy. The Temples moved to Chardon from Ashtabula about five years ago and resided in the Bartlett apartment on South Street.
