The new 175000 dollar All Saints church on Sis ley street Hammond was dedicated yesterday with over 500 in attendance. Bishop John Fr Noll led the ceremony joined by Rev Leo Deframe and Rev James Fitzgerald. Civic leaders including Mayor Schonert and Carl Kaufmann attended.

Marion Indiana reports Mark Ihrig meat market owner of Jonesboro died from a gunshot wound after mistaking a holdup attempt for a joke Saturday night. The fleeing assailants, two teens about 18 or 19, fled in a car later found in town with a cable fragment used as a blackjack. Ihrig provided a detailed description to police before dying.

Mrs Lenuherta Meredith mother of seven was killed Saturday when a high tension light wire fell while she hung clothes. Cleveland airmail pilot Harry A. Seivers leaped from a frozen, out of control plane near Warren yesterday. He landed safely with his parachute about one foot from the ground and escaped serious injury as the aircraft crashed and was demolished.
