Utah Commercial Club Boosters Welcomed to Garland

Garland greeted the Utah Commercial Club Boosters with a morning arrival, a town welcome, and a concert at Garland hall. The event featured speeches by local officials, a toastmaster, and performances by Montgomery’s Band and a club quartet. Boosters praised local industry and pledged to patronize home merchants, then departed for Tremonton.

Marriage in the County Seat ends with Riverside reception

Miss Helen Kennard and Alfred E. Granger were married Tuesday in Brig ham City with Mrs. C. O. Anderson as chaperone. The bride, daughter of L. H. Kennard, Sr., of Riverside, is noted as popular in both towns. The groom runs the O. K. barber shop. A wedding shower preceded their return to Riverside for a supper, then they settled with the Anderson family in this city.

Work moves forward with R M B Tel Co workers and local citizens removing poles from street centers. The community praises the improvements and hopes the effort continues until all public thoroughfares are free of obstructions.

Liberty Pole Raised Again After Reconstruction

Supt T H Edwards engineer Joseph F E Corbett and Utah Idaho Sugar Co workers rebuilt the Liberty pole after it blew down. Joints were telescoped and screwed tight, a guy wire added, and the pole repainted for a safe Fourth of July display.

Religion Class Fair Promises Big Bear River Event

The Bear River Stake Religion Classes announce a September Fair planned as a major fall event. A committee including J. H. Forsgren Lucy A. Clark O A Seeger and John Devey reports success in securing liberal prizes across educational music art floral trades scientific needle work agriculture horticulture and annual husbandry. A prize list with donors and details will appear in the next issue.

New Quarters Welcomes Studebaker and Garland Harness

Studebaker Bros Co and Garland Harness Co moved into the new West Factory street building in New Quarters this week. The main part is occupied by Studebaker with Garland in the east. An office for both firms has been set, and the week is spent on organizing. Good for the west side.
