A Mothers Day program at Garland hall on Sunday evening features choir singing, prayers, speeches on motherhood, poems, and music with all mothers receiving a carnation and children a flower. If weather permits, Honeyville plays Garland in baseball at the City park today.

Married at Logan Temple This Week

Miss Carrie Johnson and R G Korth were united in marriage at the Logan temple Wednesday. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs George Johnson of Deweyville. The groom resides here and works for the Utah Idaho Sugar Co. They will live in this city after May 20 at the corner of Austin street and Hanford avenue.

Garland Town vs J M Austin Assault Case in Smith Court

In Justice Burdett Smith court Wednesday the Town of Garland case against J M Austin for assault proceeded. Complainant witness T L Snook testified as the complaining witness and the town moved to dismiss at the complainant’s expense, a motion that carried.

City Park Receives Thorough Clean Up And Repairs

Marshal J A Mortensen with James Wigenall oversaw city park upgrades including a new entrance gate grand stand repairs new base ball diamond in fine shape and trimmed trees. The improvements brighten the park and enhance the ball grounds.

Transfer Wraps Up Move of Garland Meat Firm

Thomas and Bingham, former meat and grocery operators, moved their building onto their Main street property between the Bank of Garland and W. L. Grover & Son’s last Saturday. The transfer improves the building row on North Main and places the company on its own property. a new line of business will begin soon.

May Pole Dance Delights Ladies' Self Culture Club

The Ladies' Self Culture Club hosted a May Pole dance and social at the hall last Friday. Twenty four young ladies in pink and white danced around the May Pole, braided ribbons, and enjoyed punch and home made candy. Garland orchestra with M D Evans and Clara Mowry provided music. the event was well received and fondly remembered. A lost horse description notes a black colt yearling branded F on left shoulder, last seen west of Tremonton. Reward offered by Ezra Harris Blind Springs ranch.
