James H. Garbanati of Snowville won the contract to carry mails from Garland to Stone Idaho via Snowville. He passed through town Monday en route to Salt Lake to buy a fine automobile for the route. Hurrah for Garbanati.
The city will host a rare Musical and Elocutionary concert at Garland hall on Friday evening May 6. Featuring Mrs. Neff elocutionist, Mrs. Lottie Cozier singer, Amber Hamson and May Anderson soloists, plus other noted musicians. Tickets priced 15 2% and 35%. After schools close, Mrs Lottie Cozir will visit twice weekly to give vocal lessons and organize a class.
Directors of the Promontory Carlew Land Company will meet in Logan Utah on Thursday May 7 at 1 p.m. Bids for land purchase will be considered at this meeting.

Chorister F O Haws of the Garland Ward choir received a birthday surprise at his Factory street home last Friday honoring his 28th birthday. The event was organized by choir members and ward bishopric with wives, husbands, sweethearts, and a few invited guests. Guests enjoyed parlor games and refreshments including ice cream, candy, and fruit.
Pearl B. Foulger welcomed 15 members and guests to a Thursday afternoon gathering on Factory street led by Vice-President Annie Edwards. Agnes Wheelon reported on kindergarten outreach. Lucy A. Clark was tasked to seek use of Garland school and possible Education Board aid. Esther Evans led current topics. plans for May Pole, religion class fair discussed. refreshments served. next meeting set at Lucy A. Clark's home.
The Garland Harness Co O K Barber shop and C J Campbell’s billiard and pool hall will undergo remodeling. A B Manansa plans a new O K barber shop building between the Lymie theatre and the current firms. Garland Harness will move to Studebaker Bros Chew building west Factory Street and Campbell’s will relocate within the barber shop and Garland space. The former billiard hall area becomes a new business establishment yet to be learned.
Bishop Thomas Yates of the Harper ward north of Brigham died after a lingering illness from erysipelas. Funeral services were held there on Tuesday, April 26. Attending from this city were Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Preston, Mrs. Henry Rose, and W. L. Grover. Yates was a highly respected local resident.
The Standard-Bred pacing stallion Alam o Evans owned by F. T. Troxell will perform at Dr. Taylor's barn in Brig ham City on Saturdays and Mondays, at David Holmgren's in Bear River City on Tuesdays, at Fife's in Tremonton on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and at Hudson's in Garland on Fridays. The three year old stallion is a rich black, stands 16 hands and weighs about 1200 pounds.
The standard bred pacing stallion Leeland Wilkes register 1933 will stand at the above named days and places by the same party. Leeland Wilkes is a rich black six years old about 6 hands 1300 pounds and stands L6 hands or better.

K E Bingham with wife and family depart Garland for Ogden to run the Old California Bakery there after selling most household goods and raffling a buggy. They leave a two year stay, a sold northern farm, and one year managing Owens' Hotel, with many friends wishing them success.

New members welcomed as Hazel and Vera Edwards Joseph and Bertha Bowcutt Charles Wing Joseph and Marie Wing and family. Attendance 173 with various class exercises and singing selections throughout the services. Ward clerk L W Preston.
