Davis and Docking enter race for Kansas governor and lieutenant
Kansas Democrat Paul Davis and running mate Jill Docking filed Thursday to seek the governorship and lieutenant governorship. Davis, a 12 year Kansas Legislature veteran, framed a moderate platform. Docking cited fiscal woes from the Brownback era, including a projected billion dollar deficit, weak business growth, and credit downgrades, as motives for challenging Gov. Brownback and Lt. Gov. Colyer. Docking has two decades in financial advising and has chaired the Kansas Board of Regents.
