Preston funeral home revives tiny Kansas town story
In Preston Kansas Heartland Mortuary opens after six months of work by Ken and Donna Stanton with help from family. The town once faded but gains a new business as 12 relatives relocate from Mesa Arizona and a former bar is rebuilt into a funeral home despite setbacks including a heart attack and plumbing problems. The project honors pioneer Don Cox who helped spark the revival before his passing.
