Rennie Pratt, 28, once a Garden City resident and stepdaughter of a local judge, is charged with fatally shooting Michael E. Porcella, 36, an Oakland lawyer, on April 8 on his home porch after a game. Police noted prior domestic disputes. Pratt has a history of run-ins with the law, including underage drinking and assault. Her next court hearing is set for June 15 in Alameda County Superior Court.
Friday Tabin Padilla age 47 of Hugoton was cited and released at 8 30 p m in the 900 block of North Main Street for no proof of insurance. Thursday Lamar Means age 42 of 4300 Nancy Ave Apt 1304 was arrested at 1 30 a m in the 2200 block of East US Highway 50 for intoxicated pedestrian. Cristian Berrie age 25 of unknown city Florida was cited and released at 9 35 a m in the 600 block of East Kansas Avenue for no proof of insurance.
A long list of incidents in Garden City and vicinity includes vehicle entries at Clarion Inn and Sears, mirror thefts at Finney County Fairgrounds, a Dodge Durango stolen in Eugene Place, and various burglaries and property crimes. Notable items include a Jeep Cherokee and iPod thefts, multiple break ins, and ongoing investigations.

Loris Williams 24 was arrested after a domestic dispute, a handgun threat, and alleged battery of a woman. Deputies found 20.5 grams crack cocaine valued at 1500 dollars during a prior arrest and 37.8 more grams along with 46.8 grams hydroponic marijuana at his home. Paraphernalia linked to drug distribution was also found. Williams remains jailed on multiple charges including aggravated assault and domestic battery.
At El Ajua on N Taylor Ave a person was battered. A known individual struck another in the back of the head with a baseball bat on West Mary Street. A threat of bodily harm to coerce payment occurred on Mary Street between 2 and 2 15 p.m. Further details note a noon to 1 15 p.m. incident in the 1100 block.
