Friday Dinners Tie Kensington Community
In Kensington with 500 residents a standing Friday night dinner at the American Legion hall has become a four year ritual. Karen Pollock and Shirley Conaway lead weekly volunteer crews to cook meals under $5 with beef from Kensington Lockers Inc. Proceeds fund repairs and support the Legion. The dinners emphasize staying and visiting over fast service.
