Tiny house project builds Ness City teens' skills and dreams
Ness City High School seniors like Devin Brown work after school on a blustery January day inside a partly finished RV-sized tiny house outside the shop. With goals of becoming an electrician, Brown and classmates hope to complete the project by April 1 to present it at a science fair in Hays. They log long weekend hours and find rhythm in hands on work under instructor Brent Kerr in industrial education class.
