Nationwide Tuba Christmas events brighten streets
Christmas celebrations spread across the nation with 194 performances, including Kansas stops in Hiawatha, Tola, Manhattan, Salina, and Wichita. Volunteers from Commerce Bank handed out hot chocolate while young players like 11 year old Kaci Bunch joined for the first time, decorating tubas with garland and lights as crowds warmed on blankets. The day closed with Garden Citys Burtis Motors Christmas Parade featuring HALO student floats, a Methodist Living Christmas production, and a gingerbread themed Burtis float built by employees.
