About $500 worth of saddles bridles and saddle blankets were taken from a barn at the M. P. Reeves feedlot six miles south of Garden City sometime Monday night. Thieves dragged the items to a fence and lifted them over then moved them by car or truck. Investigation continues.

Gasoline Fountain Flows From Unknown Source in City
In Elizabeth City North Carolina daily pumps remove 16 to 18 gallons of gasoline from a hole a block from downtown. Officials have not located the source though nearby service stations and tank owners report no losses. Some residents recall World War II military storage tanks in the area but none have been found.
