Murder charge frames mysterious death of son in Kansas
Raymond Boothe 34 of Cameron Missouri faced a Leavenworth County judge on an initial first degree murder count in the death of his physically disabled son, 11 year old Raymond Levi Boothe. Boothe was sent to Larned State Hospital for a mental evaluation and is due Oct. 3 to determine competency to stand trial. The boy’s body was found along Interstate 70 after an anonymous 911 report, and authorities described the death as callous with possible strangulation evidence.
