A. O. Fox of Madison announces a plan with Northern Electric Manufacturing and associates to build an electric interurban from Platteville via Cupa City Hazel Green and Sinsinawa to Dubuque, with power stations supplying mine and farm needs within ten miles of the line. Heavy electric engines and modern passenger cars are planned, with cooperation from eastern capitalists and a potential link to Union Electric in Dubuque. Fatal Accident at Savanna Rail Yard Claims a Worker
Lewis Sulton a Savanna railroad man died minutes after a accident in Milwaukee yards at Savanna. He was inspecting cars when he crawled under a string of cars and was crushed by two moving chains of trucks. Coroner's jury held an inquest. Sulton, 23, left a wife and two children. Funeral set for Thursday at nine.

Death on the Lena freight line ends a life
George A. Schafmayer a 24 year old brakeman from Scales Mound Ill fell under freight No 60 near Lena and was crushed to death. A broken coupling knuckle caused the derailment and the night accident left Schafmayer mangled and dead almost instantly. Coroner’s inquest heard testimony from conductor William Cornish engineer Arthur Fink and others before returning a verdict that he died from injuries received in the collision and wheel crush.
