About 200 residents from Leadmine City traveled to Dubuque for the Tri-State fair which opened Tuesday. Organizers promise strong attractions and major races as thousands are expected to attend. The weather was favorable and many locals plan to return the next day.

Voting certificates and ballots are safeguarded by multiple verification steps including registered certificates, a ballot box in a Main street store, and a contest committee chosen by contestants. Platteville Wisconsin reports a bustling return of Normal school pupils and rising town activity as Big Badger fair preparations run Sept 4 to 7. Mrs. Morgan Manly took more than fifty children from Dewey Avenue to a picnic at Jennings Grove near the city. The event featured a pleasant afternoon with the youngsters enjoying the outing. evening refreshments followed and shop offers closed out at cut prices on hammocks and wallpaper at Coats worth.
