Day Campaign Opens in Fulton County With Dr Wells

Fulton county hosts a dry campaign opening Saturday in Swanton at 7 10 pm led by LN D Wells of Akron. He will speak Sunday at 2 30 pm from Wauseon Court House steps and again Sunday evening at Fay ette Christian church. Wells, a noted orator, leads the Summit County Dry Organization and travels to advocate prohibition throughout Ohio. Health issues prompt residents to clean alleys and curbgarbage to prevent flies and disease, with a call to citizens to act now.

A large Bernath family gathering occurred at the home of Andrew Burkholder near Ridgeville Corners on Sunday, September 5. Numerous siblings and their spouses were present including Florence, Howard, Catherine, Raymond, Mabel, Wilson, Clara, Mary, Edith, Robert, Sanford, Doris, Mary, Helen, Lucile, Grace, Donald, Walter, Earl, Eddie, Glen, Roy, Ruth Elizabeth, Alice, and others. Dinner was served and all enjoyed a jolly good time.

Esteemed Citizen Matthew Steward Dies at 68 in Wauseon

Matthew Steward aged 68 longtime Wauseon resident died at his Cherry street home last Friday September 10 after a stroke on August 31 Funeral services were held at his Cherry street home and at Liberty Center Reformed Church with Rev J H Williams Rev Frank E Kenyon and church choir leading the rites Interment followed in Youngs Cemetery Born August 28 1847 in Huron County he moved to Liberty township Henry County at six and to Wauseon in 1904 He married Alice Mitchell in 1873 and had three children Sylvia Lloyd and Homer Two granddaughters and several relatives survive. his life reflected deep faith in spiritualism and devotion to family.

Wauseon Poultry and Grain Show Plans Indoor Venue Change

The Wauseon Poultry and Pet Stock Association prepares for its second annual poultry show and first annual grain show running November 30 to December 4. Premiums total at least twice last year with $46 in cash and $200 in merchandise awarded previously. The event faces a venue challenge with Saunders Building and City Hall options discussed. M. L. Free Correspondence Courses Offered by Ohio State University Extension Service

Ohio State University Extension Service launches free 22 course correspondence study open to Ohio residents. Courses support farm clubs and youth groups with in class facilitators and mailed lesson sets. A sample bulletin explains each course, with application directed to J. E. McPlinton, Supervisor of Correspondence Courses, Columbus Ohio. Local classes may include an instructor visit to enhance work.
