Clever Announcement Party Reveals Engagement in Wauseon
Miss Helen Fink hosted a kitchen shower for Miss Mary Richardson at her South Fulton street home last Saturday. A playful capsule game delivered the engagement news: Miss Richardson will marry Mr. Alvin Bierns of Toledo on Thanksgiving Day. Also noted are local travels, a Toledo army chaplain appointment, a large hog car sale for $4709, a motor accident near Wauseon, and a Maynard Brown family visit. The piece closes with a wedding in Toledo and a county YMCA fundraising campaign led by Co. D. Perry and W. J. Clark planning for local participation.
