Unofficial tally shows Poll Tax defeated 4 to 1 from 36 precincts with 630 yes and 2814 no. Redistricting failed by about 1 to 1 from 11 precincts with 2875 yes and 3414 no. Soldiers bonus carried 2 to 1 from 5 precincts. Hospital defeated 2 to 1 from 35 precincts with 1589 yes and 2736 no. Armistice Day Closures Across Wauseon Businesses

Wauseon business houses to observe Armistice Day next Friday November 11 remaining closed all day. Public school to close in afternoon with parade from the school house to South Park and back. Obituary of Fred A Bates of Chesterfield Ohio

Fred A Bates born August 26 1860 in Chesterfield Fulton County Ohio died November 2 1921 at age 61. He married Esther Marks in 1883 and they had five children Ralph Florence Charles George Floyd. He leaves seven grandchildren two sisters Roxie Bates and Mary Turner and a brother A M Bates. He was a Christian Church member Mason and Chesterfield Grange charter member of the Gleaner order and served as its secretary. Funeral at home and burial in Waushon cemetery officiated by Rev J A Wharton.

Vic Council Reopens East Im Street Assessment Issue

Regular Vic Council meeting stretched into a drawn out session after a publishing error over East Im Street assessments. The engineer Champe of Toledo, present, agreed to cover half the expense. Permits granted for moving two houses on Chestnut Street and Shoop Ave. Chestnut Street assessment passed on third reading. Promissory notes issued to Champe for 436.67 and 67. Residents protest sewer assessments for areas beyond the improvement. The council notes that improvements require funding.

Fulton County Boy Honored on Committee of 88

W S McClain son of Mr and Mrs Bert McClain of Wauseon is Fulton County representative on the Ohio State University Committee of 88. He will aid Fulton County alumni in a November 25 Italy Ohio Ohio State celebration and lead a campus drive to raise 75000 for the Ohio Stadium Building Fund with a Fulton County quota of 375. The stadium seats 64000 with a contract price of 1341000, of which 1047000 is subscribed. Contractors pour jet concrete for first 15 rows. the horseshoe will be ready for football season 1922.

Missing John W. Egan farmer last seen October Monday

John W. Egan, a 400-year-old, five foot ten and a half inch Canadian farmer and ex-addict, living at Villa Nova Pa, vanished after leaving for Quakertown to make farm purchases.
