State Young People Leaders to Convene in Columbus

Lumber Dealers Banquet and Tragic Track Incident

The Fulton County Lumber Dealers Association held a banquet at the Avery Inn. Walter Griffin, 14, of Fayette, was seriously injured at the Williams-Fulton track meet when a 12 pound shot struck him in the head. he was unconscious, skull crushed, surgery performed, and he was reported improving the next morning. The report also covers market notes on dairy and poultry, church notices, and local committee appointments for Decoration Day.

Wauseon Exchange Club Seeks Funds for Band Concerts

The Wauseon Exchange Club met at ey inn last Friday, approving a plan to raise funds to support Boy Scout Band and band concerts this season. W. W. Caddell offered his Theatre for a benefit show, while Hon Frank S. Ham spoke on Trade At Home. Next meeting set for May 4.

Napoleon High School to graduate largest class in history

Napoleon High School will graduate its largest class on Friday evening May 27. The 46 graduates include 19 boys and 27 girls. The Napoleon-Elks carnival raised $7,000. Okolona Grain and Stock Co elevators sold for $17,000 with stock and grain on hand. West Unity won the Williams County High School Livery Association Cup. Hon. R. Eastman began his term as judge of Putnam County Court of Common Pleas. he is the father of Mrs. Fred Wolf of this city. Bryan High School will graduate 59 on June 2. Liberty Center Postmaster General commission awarded to Gay E. Mathews. Bryan drive for the Salvation Army raised funds. T J Pilliod erects a young Weather Bureau at Pilliod Lumber Co for daily temperature, humidity, and pressure readings.

Williams Fulton Track Meet at Wauseon May 13

Ninth annual Williams Fulton track meet held Friday in Wauseon with poor conditions. Pioneer led with 36.7 points, Fayette 32, Wauseon 15.5. no records set. Oratorical contest won by Orpha Musser of Bryan with Laur Gueran placing second.
