Keeps On Knitting Urges Red Cross Support and War Aid

American Red Cross appeals to Fulton county women to continue knitting for soldiers and hospital relief in France. The government film The Remaking of a Nation toured Camp Sherman in Wauseon with Lieut Knepper and Private Classon in charge. American Protests: War Department asks for frames for intelligence use

The American Protective League asked for frames and supplies to aid the War Department in intelligence gathering across occupied zones in France Belgium and Germany west of the Rhine. Large quantities were delivered with no need to sort or avoid duplicates. Materials will be forwarded to the War Department through the American Protective League. Wauseon Fire Department Saves Miley Block From Strong Blaze

A watchful fire at Miley block storage room caused by strawboard fillers and excelsior led to smoke and water damage. The volunteer department confined the blaze, saving the rest of the building and nearby stock at Dimke’s Fair store. Losses exceed $3,000 with Soule uninsured for about $500.
