The Centenary drive aims to unite workers, energize participation, and launch plans for the next century, with 150 trained executives assisting 74,900 volunteers over six weeks.
Blanche Yurka creates the lead female role in The Wazfarer, to be staged at the Methodist Centenary celebration in Columbus Ohio from June 20 to July 13. Henry Herbert, noted English Shakespearean interpreter, plays the other leading role in a majesty religious pageant. Nearly 1,000 costumed characters will appear nightly at the Coliseum on the exposition grounds. The Coliseum houses the largest stage in America with seating for about 4,000.
