Ohio leads in poultry output and small fire losses reported

Ohio ranks as the fourth largest poultry producer in the nation per 1920 census figures with about 64 million dollars in value last year. New Wauseon Fruit Co Formed by Geer and DeRosa

Mr Geo Geer bought Henry DeRosa’s shares of the Wanseoon Fruit Company. Geer, long a local clerk at Brigham Guilford, takes over ownership and will remain with the firm this week. The business will keep the same name with Howard Kolb joining Geer to solicit customers. DeRosa plans wholesale work and will seek a new location after eleven years in the area.

Wauseon High Falls to Woodward Tech in Close Game

Wauseon High School lost to Woodward Tech by a 7 to 15 margin after a slow first half 19 to 5. Woodward Tech praised as the fastest local team by Principal Williams with Payne and Stands starring. Wauseon’s Lovie and R Gerr fought back in the second half. Next Friday Pioneer Five faces Wauseon after beating Archbold.

New Burke Bill Enforced Countywide Traffic and Dog Ordinances

A county board passes a resolution enforcing amended Senate Bill 34 directing Sheriff to appoint Deputy W S Stevens as special traffic enforcer and official dog catcher. Stevens will be paid 3.50 per day for up to 20 days a month, allocated from Dog Fund and M and B funds.

Ernest J Crame Dies After Illness At Toledo

Ernest J Crame born March 9 1882 Tedrow Ohio married May 23 1902 to Apes Belk Nap of Tedrow. He died December 29 1921 in Toledo after three days illness at age 39 and a half. He leaves wife daughter Glenn deceased and Irma hospitalized, plus siblings. Funeral held New Years Day at home of Mrs David Bingman Wauseon conducted by Rev S R Dunham. Hip Boot special at 2 50.
