Grange meeting profits and plans for January corn show

The County Pomony Grange held a profitable session on Saturday November 23 with a new four member planning committee and arrangements for a corn show at Ottokee Grange the fourth Saturday in January 1929 Premiums will be offered for top yellow and white corn and several varieties Officers elected included Master E J Krieger Overseer C A Hayes and others County Superintendent ferry M spoke on rural schools noting the gathering as one of the best ever Also discussed were women’s mission in work and future county farm plans with County Agent Cave outlining the year ahead and urging support for the Premium Bureau to aid all farmers.

Well Spent Life Ended in Fulton County Pioneer Albert Stranahan Passes

Albert R. Stranahan, a sixty year Fulton County resident, died December 1 in Wauseon. Born June 16 1841 in Litchfield Ohio, he served in the 14th Ohio Infantry, helped move the county seat to Ottokee, was a skilled mason, and left a large circle of family and friends including his wife Mary Frazier and children Samuel A Hollie A Case and Loren H. His funeral Tuesday featured county officials, G A R members, and Masons. memorial resolutions praised his integrity and industry.
