Rejected Soldiers Get Nursing Care in Ohio
Approximately two thirds of Ohio men discharged from the army or rejected by draft boards for tuberculosis receive care from local public health nurses. One third live in areas without nursing services. Of 1958 cases, 1272 are in nursing jurisdictions and 686 outside. Hospital facilities remain inadequate for all patients. Local health boards may employ nurses, counties may form tuberculosis dispensaries, and municipalities may establish tuberculosis hospitals.
