Tanks Bring Town to Life on Visiting War Machines

Wauseon residents witnessed two display tanks arrive from the Western Battle front, with crews and a Cleveland stop. Mayor Bulger rode one tank during a public ride, as local firms and communities organized a victory drive and a church event to honor returning servicemen and fund relief efforts. The visit included talks of homeward plans for soldiers of the 32nd Division Army of Occupation and a community gathering at the Congregational Church.

Petit Jury In Session One Day One Case Conviction

Wauseon celebrates the return of most members of the 148th Ambulance Company and other units from the 37th Division with a Saturday homecoming. Final Meeting for Year of The Woman's Club

The Woman's Club held its final meeting at the home of Mr and Mrs John G Rorick. Reports were heard from retiring officers and new officers for the coming year were inducted. A pot luck supper followed for members and guests with Miss Emily Bouton of Toledo unable to attend due to illness. The club, active in war work, will resume meetings in September with Mrs F B Kenyon as president.

Wauseon Wins Triangular Debate Against Tiffin Bowing Green

Wauseon High School debaters defeated Tiffin High School by two to one on the affirmative, gaining a clean sweep with all three judges. In Bowling Green the Wauseon negative team also won. Tiffin beat Bowling Green there. The Triangular Debate left Wauseon first, Bowling Green second, and Tiffin third.
