Public notice that Stephenson County Illinois has rendered judgments for special taxes on paving Adams Carroll and Williams streets with brick and Clark Avenue. Warrants are held by the undersigned. Call and pay within thirty days from January 8 1898 and January 3 1898 respectively. Office hours 4 am to 3 pm and 9 am to 3 pm.

An advertisement touts Grain-o as a coffee substitute made from grains with the same rich color as Mocha and Java. It claims it is stomach friendly, suitable for children and adults, and priced at 26¢ per package sold by grocers. Also a dissolution notice for the partnership C H Nott and C Niemeyer with settlement deadlines of January 10, 1898.
