From Our Own Correspondent Harlem Corners Dec 31 W J Harris of Lena called on friends in our burg on Friday Mrs Peter McGurk of Kent spent Christmas with her parents Mr and Mrs J C Sullivan Herman Buska of Lena spent several days last week with friends Orra Motz of Ridott visited relatives here last week Miss Bertha Kleckner is here from Chicago as the guest of relatives and friends Miss Ethel Skeels of Freeport visited at the Mrs Samuel Albright residence on Monday Bert Albright and Arthur Rosenstiel went to Freeport to work on James Robieson moved his goods through our burg Thursday to the farm he recently purchased from Mrs Panska of Centennial and Mrs Panska moved onto the Robieson farm Mr and Mrs Z F Schoch and daughter of Freeport spent Christmas here The Christmas exercises at Damascus on Monday evening were well attended.
Berlin reports Christmas visits as W C Smith and family hosted O Jarbrick and family from Dakota while several residents note health improvements. Dr Hoag of Ridott visited, and many townspeople traveled to Winneisheik for a recent shooting match. Ho of Deery and H Bokemeier family travelers mark year end.
Our Own Correspondent reports Centennial residents share holiday visits. Clarence Schuldt plans return to Platteville Wisconsin Wednesday after visiting relatives in the area. Christmas guests included Mrs. F. Sandmeier and Theodore Koerner family at August Hoefer home in Freeport. Henry Geiser making preparations.
Mary Dahlem returns to Sterling after visiting relatives. Edward Schoch delivered beef in the area last week. Mrs. W. A. Koertner and daughter Esther visited relatives, while Margaret Witte visits near Eleroy. People plan to weave carpet and serve customers.
Pearl City reports a prosperous New Year with revival meetings at the M. E. church and cottage prayer sessions. Visitors include Rev. Parks of Chicago and Rev. Bohmart of Evanston.
