The U S Supreme Court denied the petition for writs of certiorari to bring the Greene and Gaynor cases before the court. Benjamin D. Greene and John F. Gaynor are sentenced to pay fines exceeding half a million dollars and to four years in prison on embezzlement and conspiracy charges.
The American torpedo boat flotilla returning from Rio Janeiro to Trinidad docked today after an accident to the machinery of the Lawrence. The damage is not serious and repairs are expected to take one day. The fleet has not been signaled.
