Illinois Fight Against Tuberculosis Grows With New Circular
The Illinois state board of health completed the sixth revised edition of its circular on Causes and Prevention of Consumption. About 30,000 copies will be distributed statewide. Since 1904 over 126,000 copies have informed doctors and students nationwide, fueling a broad anti tuberculosis crusade. The pamphlet notes seven thousand victims yearly in Illinois and advocates home care, fresh air, diet, and early diagnosis while highlighting three public sanatoria and a call for a state tuberculosis sanatorium.
