John Becker died this morning at 11 at his Powell street home from throat consumption after months of ill health. A native and blacksmith by trade, he was 48 and leaves his mother Mrs C Becker, sister Mrs John Rotzler, three brothers Adam Jacob and George, and daughters Emma and Elizabeth.
