Paris correspondent reports the assailant of Labori has been arrested at Dol and confessed to the name Clorot, deemed a lunatic by police. At Pingree Grove seven miles west of Exar Aug 17 a Janesville express struck a farmer’s rig killing Fred Seelhoff instantly. His 12 year old son was unconscious and likely to die. a 7 year old survived with minor injuries. Horses were thrown ten rods. train did not stop. Villagers express outrage at repeated near misses at the crossing.
At the Woodmen picnic in Oregon Illinois yesterday crowds from Ogle county, about 7000, drank cheap lemonade largely made of tartaric acid and water. Fifteen patients were treated at Dru Mix and McKenney’s office. A house near John Sheaff’s residence was turned into a hospital for ill travelers from Polo and westward. Dozens more reported illness as authorities warn of dangerous beverage preparation by profit seekers.

Eliza Day, a 60 year old patient at Columbus State Hospital, died of peritonitis. Autopsy found five silver spoon handles and fifty cambric needles in her stomach, with about fifty more in the bowels. A year earlier she claimed swallowing spoons, but no obstruction was found. She showed no stomach pain.
Jim Franey of Cincinnati dies at Receiving hospital at 38 after a beating in last night’s bout with Frank McConnell at Woodward’s Pavilion. The blow in the fourteenth round felled Franey as onlookers debated whether the injury occurred on impact or as he fell, with observers contending he was nearly dead during the fall.

Court martial ordered to try Private Bert Dindeen of Company K Third Infantry for stealing blankets from the state arsenal. The Third Infantry breaks camp tomorrow and will be succeeded by the Fifth Infantry.
PittspurcH Aug 18 subscriptions to the stock of the Pennsylvania Coal company and railroad commission of the coal producing interests of the Pittsburgh district began today. The great combination is now assured beyond doubt. Stock is to be issued to the amount of $64,000,000.
Henry Ehlers a 87 year old Milwaukee butcher of 1216 Richards street died after nine days of continuous nosebleeds. Local doctors were summoned but could not stop the hemorrhage. Ehlers had lived in Milwaukee.
New York Aug 18 Special The American cup challenger Shamok arrived this morning in good condition and proceeded to the yacht club for examination and practice before the upcoming race against international contenders.
Washington Ind Aug 18 Albert Hensel his wife four children and a Miss Dillon were crossing White river on a ferry near Waco when the ferry sunk All but Hensel were drowned in the tragedy observed yesterday morning by local residents and authorities.

Fred Campmeier, a well known young farmer near German Valley, was fatally injured Wednesday when a horse reared and struck him. He remained unconscious with bleeding from ears and nose. Dr Bowerman of Leaf River called but unable to save him. A benefit ball at Blust's hall on Aug 29 will aid Herman Bues in buying an artificial limb.
A social outing turned hostile as two men who were initially friends argued and one man was knocked to the sidewalk. He was later given a ride for medical help while the other fled the scene.
