Examination of State Teachers Certificates Heard This Week
The annual examination of school teachers for state and life certificates will be held today in Springfield Chicago Freeport Galesburg Normal Effingham and East St. Louis. Examinations close Friday under the county superintendent of schools with state supervision. Passing requires 75 percent overall with 70 minimum in each branch for the five year certificate and 80 average with 75 minimum for life certificates. Diplomas awarded only to those so endorsed by the Board of Examiners.
