Special report from New York notes police withheld details as thirteen people died in a blaze of incendiary origin. A servant dismissed a police visit at the Andrews house hours before the fire, a threatening letter to the Andrews and Mrs St John’s children was found, and investigators suspect revenge stemming from a servants’ quarrel. Louis Jungkunz Sr a prominent Freeport resident dies at 1 30 am at his son’s Carroll street home after months of stomach cancer. He came to Freeport in 1854, ran a barber shop, later entered the drug business with son William F. Jungkunz. Survived by four children and a German born life of service, funeral arrangements set with Odd Fellows and Germania society in charge.
Rockton April 7 report notes little winter wheat sown in northern Illinois this season with spring wheat rising in popularity. Dealers report strong seed wheat demand and farmers mixing wheat with oats for better feed, weight per acre, and preserved market value. The Owl club held its third dance of the season last night with Gibler's Orchestra.
April 8 report from Cutpaco notes Illino is fair tonight and Sunday with no change in temperature. Northwest winds are diminishing offering steady conditions for the weekend event.

Freeport club to elect officers at its annual meeting next Tuesday evening.
