Fire Tragedy in New York Fueled by Suspected Arson

Death Comes After Long Illness for Louis Jungkunz Sr

Louis Jungkunz Sr a prominent Freeport resident dies at 1 30 am at his son’s Carroll street home after months of stomach cancer. He came to Freeport in 1854, ran a barber shop, later entered the drug business with son William F. Jungkunz. Survived by four children and a German born life of service, funeral arrangements set with Odd Fellows and Germania society in charge.
